Thanks for the rply Noknrol.

Hope you had a great time on your holiday leave. [smile]

Are we sure that both bearing are SKF's. Sometimes when a motor is repaired, a different brand (manufacturer) bearing is installed and does not match the "original tag numbers".

I finally convinced, the repair shop we used, to attach a new tag to the motor if the bearings they used were not the same or were the same (in case they might have forgotten the tag) as the ones they pulled out. A new tag told me what the bearing brand and number are, even if they were the same as the original tag shows. This confirmed the ones used.

What size bearing is the NDE? 6319? Or what?

Thanks and Have a Great Day,
Ralph

BTW. Have you changed the stored speed on both the DE and NDE points, using the 3.09x of the 6320 as the correct bearing (SKF) order, to just see what happens on the NDE position's frequency marker, with its "SKF" bearing number?

Well, this one has me stumped. Without any maintenance intervention, the beat that has been hanging around for about 3 weeks now has completely disappeared without conclusively finding out what the source of the 2 frequencies were?[confused]

Noknroll,

Did you try putting a little new grease in both bearings as an experiment to see if the rollers stop rolling "again" when they are out of the load zone?

Just wondering. [smile]
Thanks,
Ralph
