No, I don’t think so. In this instance, it just turns out that “divide by 100” is ‘close enough’ as a rule-of-thumb, but as I said, it’s not mathematically precise. When doing math with different units (mm, inch) in the terms, you include the units in the equations, and the undesired units ‘cancel out’ if the math is done correctly. It’s also a good check on your result - if you don’t end up with the proper units, you know the answer is wrong. I’ll illustrate when I have time.

I'm also not great at conversion, sure units cancell out, iwas thinking it as slope, it's the same slope in/in or mm/mm and km/km.

I'm not sure if right but it sounds fine in my head
