I occasionally teach thermal imaging courses for a technology training company.

I came across a YouTube video where the instructor used a graph to describe the distribution of radiated energy across the spectrum.  I thought it really helped demonstrate the basics of theory and decided to create a fairly simple Excel graph for my introductory classes.

It is attached should any of our contributors wish to use (and improve on)

Regards
Jim P

You're welcome.
I'm sure you can find plenty of IR real world problem solving examples from the FLIR, Inframetrics and other manufacturer's websites.

But finding good theory videos a bit more scarce.
Here are a few YouTube videos you may find interesting:

Thanks Jim I’m fairly good for the theory of it basics etc just hard
To find any videos of real world application mainly building survey videos or fluke v flir marketing campaigns for they’re dizzying array of new camera’s.
They both seem to launch a slightly updated camera on a regular basis.

Be just nice to get some examples of good application/sample surveys/reporting techniques on gearboxes, couplings motors and mechanical stuff.
My tutor was good in the general theory and application etc but he was a buildings and electrical guys so most of the curriculum we did wasn’t very very mechanical based.

Thanks again Jim

Jim, thanks for that. Puts my feeble Excel skills to shame. [frown]
