Does anyone have a velocity spectrum plot with a BPFO fault just before failure?  Interested to see how flat the data gets.

Pub 1 cage was cracked with outer race fault roller bearing in motor
Pub 2 outer race fault timken style bearing had big "bump" in outer race that had not spalled yet, it was an early call due to production impact

The idea that velocity amplitudes "decrease", or the higher frequencies go "flat" just before a failure, is oversold in my opinion.  I've not found that to be the case.  You may perhaps have some fall-off in the higher frequency peaks, but that is more than offset by the appearance of "noise" and sidebands.  It's usually pretty messy.
