Dear all,

I have research on the prediction of centrifugal pump malfunctions using vibration analysis and I want your help to provide me with any case study related to this topic. You are welcomed to contact me through private messages here or by WhatsApp (+201118676014) or through E-mail: mohammed_mokhtar18@hotmail.com. I would like to announce that when I finish up my research I will publish it here, also anyone will send me a case study I will publish it under his name. Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Not trying to discourage you, but in my experience, that's very difficult.  Still, I might have one or two examples of this.... after 25 years of vibration analysis.

It will be a pleasure if you would like to provide me with your cases, I have an aim from this research is to spread the knowledge, since as you replied everyone of us has one or two or three, ...... etc. of these cases on that topic what if we collect all of this case in order to increase the knowledge of the others.

Rusty,

I guess it depends on what "prediction" means. If Mohammed really refers to knowing the future without any signs detected at this moment, I agree with your comment.

I think many vibration analysts would consider identifying (or eliminating) causes of pump failures based on (high) vibration signature is a sort of prediction. Cannot you predict that dirt is accumulated on a fan (causing unbalance) and bearing may fail if the machine is not attended? Cannot you predict that alignment may not help in such a case?

I hope I'm not hijacking the thread.
