Hello…

A system of permanently installed accelerometers wired to a junction box from where the analyst collects the data.
Typically - air handling units monitoring

 Just thinking:

Is there a wireless system which retains the already installed accelerometers, connecting these to a box which will talk to a gateway to transfer the data to the cloud, etc...etc

 Or am I dreaming?

Thank you.

I think SKF's IMX system will do that.

For a price.

I have been told that Waites Wireless is working on a gateway that will connect to an existing installed system and convert it to a wireless system.

The SKF IMx will also connect to an already installed J-Box and I think there are others out there that can do the same but it will be a connected online system and not a total wireless system.

My understanding is that the data by SKF Imx can be viewed by an SKF software for use by SKF personnel only. Is this correct?

He..he.. good one Oli.[biggrin]

With the SKF IMx you would need to use the Aptitude (@ptitude) Software or go to the SKF cloud based system.. I prefer the Aptitude software and I keep my own data and can share as needed.

We are working with Bentley/Commtest/GE at this time to install "VBOnline" units within the plant. These units will accept standard accels and voltage inputs (temp/level indications/prox probes) and send them wireless to GE's System1.  Not sure of channel capability one said 16, documents say 12 channel. This may be another option for you.
