Bit of paranoia going on there. Felix can be hosted in our Cloud or a company can host in their own Cloud like so many are already doing with other stuff. rgds

Vibe-rater, trust me, I would have it taken on in an instant from what I have seen so far of This Felix system.
But my employer is already in self-imposed turmoil over our software vendor....your former employer....... who's desire is to get us running they're cloud software, He doesn't like Idea we are keeping all our customer data on some server somewhere. I am trying to get them to come around to my thinking as I have used the company's cloud version of the software on a customer's site and it runs better than my installed version plus its the most up to date version always.

And the turmoil will continue.  Rather than getting something up for low cost when IT gets involved and further up management it all of a sudden goes to SAP level etc. etc. and associated cost. Felix is independent of whatever condition monitoring system you use so allows stepping away from the brands that want you to buy everything them. rgds

I am reading in to Felix right now and it seems exciting.  Has anyone used Felix much?  Could you tell me about your experiences with it?  Was creating the database/hierarchy cumbersome?  Were people happy with the results?

TIA,
Sheridan

Hi Sheridan,

Yes Felix is in liberal use. Just a word of explanation. I have been doing vibration for more than 28 years, the last 12 as consultant employed by my own company.  Previously worked for SKF as consultant as well. I got sick of all the spreadsheets out there and I think many will agree that rbmview is not good.  That is if you are a CSI user.  So I got together with a very smart friend of mine who taught me vibration (he now works in a different field) and we set up a separate company FelixHub.

So I have vested interest.

My main work is still vibration but I am getting a bit sick of climbing all over paper machines but I use Felix for cloud based reporting for all my clients.  Once analysis is complete an email is sent to those interested, they login and it is all there.

If you would like a demo login let me know on info at commotionsystems dot com dot au

Am based in Melbourne  Australia not that that really matters these days. If you would like to check my credentials contact Jason Tranter (Mobius) if you know him.  He lives closeby my place and I hhave known him for more than 20 years.

That's great.  I am familiar with Jason Tranter and am a big fan of his videos and we just used Mobius to do more training.  My dad/boss Danny Harvey has a demo license, could I just use his?  This seems like a great idea.
