What sort of equipment and software do i need to download run down and run up data from GE's 3500 system 1 to take away for analysis?
I believe the facility where the system is installed can already do this but they want a 2nd party to plug into the rack download data and analyse for a 2nd opinion.

anyone doing this sort of thing?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi Nok,

I think your best bet is if your client sets up remote access to System 1 allowing you to connect to their System 1 remotely as long as you have internet access.

That is how I understand it anyway and is how I access Sinski's MHM.

Not IT savvy enough to let you know more.

BTW I'm on a refinery at the moment.  They have just install of no less than 10 wall mounted monitors each which can show one of their System one machines.  Total cost... wait for it AUD$100K.

Total number of screens available to condition monitoring = 20....! I am not kidding.... for 2 people.  I would take a pic if I was allowed.  Cheers

Noknroll,

What
System1 version is used?

System1 Classic has a function to "archive" data from the database in 3 separate files (shortcut, data and configurations). When the data of interest (based on time and equipment selection) is archived, one can send and run the data on System1 software on another station. You will see the same old data.

So, System1 Display software needs to be installed on a laptop for example so you can review the data archived from the server.

Make sure the display System1 version is equal or higher than the one used in archiving. Also, check if System1 Evo is used. Some features of Evo are under development as Evo is relatively new to the market.

I hope this helps a little.

Vibe, all those screens sounds like a control room, not a con mon desk, I also used to connect to an interstate clients MHM probably the same way you connect to sinski, but this system 1 stuff is new to me

Shurafa, thankyou fot your input, I believe it is system 1 Premium, the client spoke of local connection initially and later on there will be remote internet connection. What is the software I would need to install on my laptop?

System1 software comes in 3 DVDs. For your case, you need only first DVD (DVD 1). The software you need to install is System1 Display which takes less than an hour to do (hopefully without issues).

The installer does an automatic check for a list of requirements before starting the main installation. If all are green, it will proceed otherwise good luck. My advice is to install the software on a laptop with less IT security requirements. Some features of System1 might conflict with classic IT taboos.

Next step is to open the files. Please let me know once the installation is done.
