Hi All, I'm looking for a new laptop and have my eye on one but it comes with W10 Home. Does anyone know if MHM (v5.61+) will install on it.  Traditionally each version of Windows needed to be Professional instead of home. Any help appreciated. rgds

Vibe I have a new laptop with Windows 10 Home on it, and I have an update of MHM on the way.  Not sure if I'm going to install MHM on the laptop or my Surface Pro.  The laptop has a 256 GB SSD and a 1 TB hard drive, so really better suited, but the Surface is sure handy when I'm sitting in the truck loading or dumping routes.

Hi Rusty,

I don't use serial number activation, instead using a HASP security key.  Looks like a small USB key.  Means I can install the software on many computers and just move the security key to which ever computer I want to use.  that way I can carry my laptop to site or travelling and when at the office I have my work station with a Dell screen and USB ports on the side it is easy to move the active MHM license as many times as I like without having to contact Emerson with each move.  Works extremely well.  I'm still using v5.61 because I still have a 2130 (which won't work with any higher version numbers).  As soon as I get rid of the 2130 I will go straight to v6.3 I think might be the latest? (which still has Plot Data!!)  There are some special drivers required for 5.61 to go on Win10 but they are available from Emerson.  I suspect though that you will go to a higher version which should go straight on.  Interested to hear how you go if you install on W10 Home.  I guess I could always upgrade the home to pro if required. rgds

I have been using 10 home for over a year using 5.63 and now 6.30
ASUS gamer pc with SSD 225G and 1TB HD 64 bit 16G ram i7 processor, super fast start up, 2140 cuts your data collection time in half, FYI

Thanks Dave,

I did not know there was a 5.63.  Thought it went straight from 5.61 to 6.*.  (Edit sorry 5.71. )Yes the 2140 is fast I agree. rgds
