Hi Everyone,

Not sure if they have ALDI in US but here in Australia they have great stores.  German / European origin. Bit like Walmart in US I expect.

I've bought a lot of stuff from them in the past and today I bought this handheld inspection camera for AUD$69.99.  About 50 bucks US for the foreigners.

https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-10-june/saturday-detail-wk23/ps/p/inspection-camera-3/

Can't go wrong really.  Even if it breaks - 3 year warranty.  Bargain and who knows what it could be used for.  I love gadgets.

What other gadgets do people have???

And I already have a thermometer but they have those as well.  https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-sat-10-june/saturday-detail-wk23/ps/p/moisture-meter-or-thermometer-2/

We have Aldi's over here in the US. We are not total animals.  [cool]  Actually, their sister company is Trader Joes' which supply's the other end of the market.

I recently received a 3d printer. The Creality CR_10. http://www.gearbest.com/3d-printers-3d-printer-kits/pp_441281.html?wid=21&lkid=10377771 I have a lot of designs already for it that I made in Sketchup. Cable management, tool holders, tubing holder and cutter, and such as that.

Unfortunately I am in the NE United States for the month of June and part of July. The printer is at home in a box in Louisiana. It doesn't look like I will be able to play with it for a while.

Talk about getting antsy to get home...

I bought that same camera last year in Aldi, we have them and another German company called Lidl (opening in the US this month so I believe) I find them great for gadgets and tools and low price with full warranty got some cheap bottle jacks and cordless drills and spammers which I use as I don't use them enough to warrant high
End items .

Hey Vibe
Aldi had these on sale about 5 years ago and I grabbed one then.
Doesnt get a lot of use but great one you need one. I remove the batteries when not in use and still actually on the original batteries.
So far I've used it for a blocked drain, internal inspection of a fuel tank, internal inspection of motor bike gearbox through oil filler hole etc.

To all, especially respondents,

Haven't been in the US for nearly 10 years (NYC) so not up to date there. LLBean for your winter clothing I do remember and still have a chamois shirt or 2 from 20 years ago. In London January this year and Lidl there too.  Talk here in Melbourne is that Lidl is coming our way.  Costco here already although very few locations, I have not been there. In any case I do not have the storage for 7000 toilet rolls.  (bathroom tissue i think US calls it..?)

Buying power I guess is why such great gadgets can be bought so cheaply.  Nok, I will chuck it in my bathroom sink when there is too much of my wife's hair in there as it seems to block about once a year.  And knowing me you will agree that it can't be my hair!!

I have some ratchet ring spanners, other spanners, torck bits,  double sided tape, cordless drill bits, bicycle pump, even a right angle drill attachment that for the cheap price helped me out in one instance justifying the low cost.  And I do agree that for occasional use you don't have to spend big. rgds
