Hello,

I'm looking for some feedback on your experiences with cost effective on-line monitoring systems available in the marketplace. I'm looking to provide a system for a client for some kiln fans. Would like to monitor both vibration and temperature at a minimum. Does anyone have any opinions of Waites Wireless system or FAG Smartcheck?

Thanks in anticipation

Reseller:
Since we resell Wi-Care and I got a functional demo and it is in Europe and brand independent and I will put it on test on a papermachine Yankee gbx next week and they will have revolutionary new tool by the end of the month that I can't tell you about but it is for low speed...... Have a look:

We have some Waites Wireless systems installed. It works well for constant speed equipment. Installation is as easy as it gets as well.

The kiln fans are VSD controlled and run at different speeds depending on the temperature in the kiln. Is there a way of handling this with the Waites Wireless System?

Came across this company last few days bad in Oz, no idea how the system works as video is very misleading big lump of plastic with a magnet stuck to a machine.

Datasheet,

looks like they are edge computing at the sensor to filter out the Reams's of data and only send alerts when Alarm criteria is met.
Similar to this product.

With Wi-Care you have an optional speed sensor. Check if alternatives have a radio for the area where you like to use them.

Ive seen the Wi-Care product at the Imvac conference last year and I really like the system plus the fact you can re-use standard accelerometers with them.

And for some people the shortcuts used when looking at the FFT are just the same as....MT and later (that I never learned but maybe I have to now) would maybe be useful or convenient...
