I have done dryers with a 2110 and 2115. I would hate to be using them now.

I have seen the future from skf yesterday, new completely web-based system. login to web page build machines, and routes then send to iPhone/iPad or Android phone or tablet in 2-3 minutes, images and voice notes can be added on the route.
Support for Flir one/seek camera can be used on a device to take IR images and import to the route. Old legacy Miclog/@ptitude routes can be ported over, the  Bluetooth sensor comes with an additional channel connection for use with BNC connectors on remote sensors.

Launching in in late September.
Will post some stuff once I'm allowed.

But... then the data belongs to SKF. Can't be good.  There is a backlash on keeping data in cloud currently preferring to keep it all with clients.  (SKF has customers - me clients, there is a big difference) SKF's way to "keep" customers. rgds

I did too Sinsk / Oli. I started just after dat tapes and with 2110 when we used to collect lots of dryer cylinders. For example. I collected tissue machine PM4 yesterday, which used to take 2 persons a full day. Yesterday I smashed it, 8 hours with only minimal water breaks for the whole lot.  I  was really proud of myself, only Oli and particularly Sinsk will appreciate that. And some others in the industry maybe.  Tissue machine rolls front and rear, machine floor inc DC Drives, Basement and mezzanine. Start at 8am, finish 4pm. Gotta love 2140 and Speedvue, most agitators are on VFD's now. Luckily I am at an age where mentally I can get started and keep going. The joy I get when the last few machines are there to collect and home time is in sight. rgds

Hey vibe
its not only the end of a paper machine that gives you that feeling
PS
the steel rule lives in my top pocket now and has had a few uses other than measuring.

Yes, screwdriver, opening those pesky remote boxes, scraper, spoon I guess, and many other uses. And then measuring.  Hope you are well Nok! for me a day of analysing and reporting after a full on sites week last week. rgds
