Voting with VMS

I've posted this poll on LinkedIn for two weeks and the results are on the below print screen. Do the numbers make sense to you based on what you actually see in relation to the question?

"For those who deal with online vibration monitoring systems, what is your philosophy on voting? I'm keen to understand your practice. Please comment if your company had disputes and inconsistencies on this."

Not from a plant perspective, but as a vendor I think that the third item is under represented.

It has surprised me how many plants rely on the control system or the operators to do shutdown.  In many cases the cost/damage from an uncontrolled shutdown of an asset/process is high.

Manual shutdown by operators after receiving high vibration is not common in certain industries, at least based on what I saw. For example, O&G, Petrochemicals and Power have most large assets on ESD (auto trip).

But again perhaps what I see doesn't represent the common practice elsewhere.
